N*Mykjåkatten's Gwenhyvar
Gwenhyvar, just called Gwinni by us, was born in Norway on the 29th of November 2005.
We had made contact with Åse some months ago, because I wanted to have a second female for our cattery and Birgit wanzed to have one with silver and we liked both, Gwinni's father as well as her mother, very much.
In the beginning of december Åse told us that her Queeny had born a little one which could be the one we were searching for. After she sent us the first pictures, we had to admit that she was absoloutely right.
During the first weeks Åse wasn't sure with the silver, but later on (we didn't want any other cat at that moment, anyway ...) , she told us that she was sure.
Afterwards we had to plan for the transfer from Norway to Germany. We wanted to get her during the Easter weekend, but Åse said that she wouldn't be at home, at all so we had to look for another opportunity. She gave us the hint that her friend Angelica from the Netherlands would get her cat by airplane and maybe she could bring Gwinni, as well. After we contacted Angelica and asked her about that, she said that this would be no problem and we were glad that we would get Gwinni even earlier than expected. Even though Shiphol is so huge, we found each other without problem and so Gwinni could come with us to Barmstedt into our newly finished house.
It didn't take long for us to see what a charming cat we got : She was totally trusting from the start on and as she was exceptionally allowed to sleep together with us, she immediately won our hearts. Simply irresistible !
She didn't make any problems with our other cats, too, and became integrated within a few days. All our friends congratulated us, since, that our new addiion to our cattery is a beautiful and wonderfully charming cat and we had to check the bags, regularly. ;-)
Until today we had a lot of fun with our youngest family member and we're very sure that it will stay so in the future.
